ShortFactory
A private tool for preparing short vertical videos and publishing them to one's own YouTube channel.
What it is
ShortFactory is self-hosted software run by a single person, its owner, on their own server. It is not a public service: there is no sign-up, and nobody other than the owner can use it or connect a YouTube account to it.
What it does
- Edits short vertical videos: cutting, framing, captions and a title.
- Uploads the finished videos to the owner's own YouTube channel, with their title, description and hashtags, either immediately or at a scheduled time.
- Shows the owner the statistics of their own videos — views, likes, comments and audience retention — so they can see what works.
How it uses YouTube
ShortFactory uses YouTube API Services. When the owner connects their channel, the application asks Google for permission to manage that channel's videos. It uses that permission only for the two purposes above: uploading the owner's videos and reading the statistics of the owner's own videos.
It does not read, collect or store information about any other YouTube user, and it does not sell or share data with anyone. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
